In September of 2006, my classmate, Brett Jackson, and I began work on a users manual for creating online Google mashups. Because the number of local Hartford nonprofits interested in creating Google mashups to promote their organizations' causes was growing, we felt that it was important that they have a step-by-step guide to follow during ![]() our "info sessions." As no such document was currently available, we created our own to distribute, entitled Making Google Maps: A comprehensive user guide for creating and using your own online Google Maps. Our guide uses ZeeMaps.com, one of several websites that allow average individuals to create personalized online maps that include information relevant to their causes or interests. Click the image at left to access the guide in .pdf form. (Please note: This guide was last updated in May of 2007. Because these websites are constantly changing, there may be some differences between the site shown in the guide and the site's current form.
